In 1996 Gujari opened in Chandigarh as Gujarat Handlooms and Handicrafts Emporium. Wood, marble, and brass come from Gujarat and from workshops across India. For years the welcome was Atithi Devo Bhava, the guest is sacred. That is still how the shop is kept. You take your time. A piece stays because the making was good enough to stand on its own.
